Terms: Winter 2018/2019 Seasonal Position
Work Hours: Average of 35-40 hours per week during peak season, more in busier times and less in the shoulder season’s dependent on snow conditions & business demand
Accommodation: Lodge style accommodation available starting at 16’000 JPY per week all inclusive
Rhythm Japan has been operating since 2005 and since has grown into one of Japan’s most successful ski and snowboard rental and retail outlets. There are two main stores which are based in Niseko and Hakuba. Although there are about 30 staff employed year-round, each winter we require over 100 additional staff in Niseko and 50 additional staff in Hakuba to assist us in keeping up with customer demands for the best service and rental and retail equipment in town. Your new role
As Rhythm Japan’s Human Resources Assistant you will support the HR Manager with the operational duties that occur though out the employee life cycle. You will be required to translate all HR related documents from English to Japanese and act as an interpreter at times. Ultimately you will liaise between Japanese employees and the HR manager to help promote the HR function and company values throughout the organisation.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you must be fluent in both English and Japanese as you will be required to translate all HR related documents. Health and safety experience is highly regarded. You must have experience in HR or a similar role with relevant qualifications. You will maintain confidentiality when dealing with employee documents and be comfortable dealing with employee conflict, high volume on/offboarding administration and have intermediate to advanced skills in Excel. Experience in implementing staff benefit initiatives, event planning and understanding of Japanese Labour standards is highly desirable.
